Francisco Correa Cordero

Francisco Correa Cordero was born in Mexico and is now based in New York. He founded Lubov in 2016, a contemporary art gallery in lower Manhattan. Previously he worked at commercial art galleries and art organizations such as Independent Curators International (ICI), Yancey Richardson Gallery, Martos Gallery, Aperture Foundation, Humble Arts Foundation and the Richard Avedon Foundation. He is on the board of directors of KAJE, on the advisory board of Carriage Trade, and on the membership and programming committee of the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA).

Relocating Lubov to the border between the Lower East Side and Chinatown neighborhood in 2019 wasn’t a choice. It was a survival and pragmatic decision after being kicked out from an office building in Tribeca for not paying rent on time. I was paying $300-500 at a time, whenever I could afford it; after almost two years they said I had to leave.
